Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To learn the science of pathology and its function in medicine, to learn and understand the cellular and molecular changes underlying diseases
To provide knowledge of etiology and pathogenesis of certain systemic disorders
Course Objective: To understand the causes, mechanism of formation, morphological changes and clinical reflections of inflammation, immunity, cell tissue damage, hemodynamic changes and neoplasia that form the basis of their diseases. To learn the role of pathology in diagnosis

Learning Outcomes

  1) Knows how the pathology laboratory works, diagnosis methods and evaluation of the pathology report.
  2) Knows and understands medical terminology.
  3) Understands and knows the mechanisms that cause cell damage and the body's response to damage, inflammation.
  4) Knows how the immune system works and its disorders.
  5) Knows neoplasia, knows and understands the formation mechanisms.
  6) Knows and understands hemodynamic disorders.
  7) Knows the pathological factors that people are exposed to in the environment they live in and understands the damage they cause and the prevention methods.
  8) Knows the diseases, etiopathogenesis, clinic and prognosis of the oral region.
  9) Knows the common diseases of the systems, their etiopathogenesis and their systemic reflections.

  1) Describes the morphological changes that occur as a result of cell tissue damage.
  2) Can interpret the formation of diseases by using the concepts learned in basic pathology.
  3) Describes the morphologies of diseases seen in the oral region.
  4) Describes the morphologies of common diseases of the systems.

  1) Defines the concepts of basic cellular pathological processes, hemodynamic disorders and inflammation types, analyzes dental approaches.
  2) Defines the concept of neoplasia and the pathology of neoplastic diseases, analyzes dental approaches.
  3) Uses oral pathology knowledge in clinical practice.
  4) Cooperates with relevant specialties in patients with health problems that require interdisciplinary practice.
