Course Objectives: | To be able to identify risks to patient safety in healthcare institutions, to be able to identify unexpected events in terms of patient safety in hospitals, to know the ways to be followed in unexpected events and mistakes. |
Course Objective: | Learning basic concepts in patient safety. Learning legal responsibilities of patient safety. Accurate identification of patients. Learning infection control and isolation measures in patient safety. Ensuring the safety of high-risk drugs with safe drug applications. Preventing patients from suffering from falls. Preventing surgical errors from harming patients (ensuring surgery is carried out on the right side, with the right procedure and right patient). Preventing blood transfusion errors from harming patients. Ensuring patient safety with waste and cleaning control. Ensuring patient safety in patient restrictions and radiation. Increasing effective communication. Ensuring employee safety. Drug administration in the right way at the right dose. |
