Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: It is aimed to examine behavioral disorders within the framework of clinical psychology.
Course Objective: It is aimed that students who successfully complete the course will be able to make basic diagnoses in behavioral disorders and formulate the etiology of their diagnosis according to different psychology theories.

  1) Explain the theories and methods and history of psychology related to the application and understanding of behavior of clinical psychology. 2-Explain the principles of ethical professional practice. 3-Explain cognitive and mental functioning, psychopathology and scientific evaluation techniques of personality.
Skills (Describe as Cognitive and/or Practical Skills.)
  1) It uses knowledge and skills derived from a variety of evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches in therapeutic relationships and can be applied effectively in different treatment contexts. 2-Has the ability to select, apply and interpret clinical and psychometric assessment methods and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical applications of these methods.
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) Solves an issue related to the field both as a team and independently. 2-Plans and manages the activities for the development of the employees under his responsibility within the framework of a project. 3- Takes risks and responsibilities in the realization of knowledge, ideas, practices or technologies that bring innovation to the field. 4- Evaluates the advanced knowledge and skills acquired in the field with a critical approach. 5-Identifies learning needs; plans and manages activities aimed at improving the performance of himself and those under his responsibility in line with learning objectives. 6-Informs relevant persons and institutions on issues related to his field; conveys his thoughts and suggestions for solutions to problems in written and verbal form. 7-Share with experts and non-experts, by supporting them with quantitative and qualitative data, their thoughts and solutions to problems related to their field. 8-Acts in accordance with social, scientific, cultural and ethical values ​​in the stages of collecting, interpreting, applying and announcing the results of the data related to the field.
