Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: Students; To improve the knowledge, skills and attitudes gained during undergraduate education and to prepare them for professional life.
Course Objective: This course prepares students for professional life by improving the knowledge, skills and attitudes they gained during their undergraduate education.

  1) Possess the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill their professional roles and functions. Knows the theories and models that form the basis of professional practices. Has the general cultural knowledge required to be an individual and a member of the profession. Performs nursing practices in line with professional principles and standards. It meets the health care needs of the individual, family and society with a holistic approach and in line with the nursing process. Uses effective communication skills.

  1) Uses information and maintenance technologies in his professional practice and research. Uses scientific principles and methods in nursing practices. Follows the knowledge in the field using a foreign language and communicates with colleagues. Acts in accordance with professional ethical principles and values in nursing practices. Takes into account relevant laws, regulations and legislation in nursing practices. Monitors policies and laws affecting the nursing profession.

  1) Uses the learning-teaching and management process in nursing practice. Uses lifelong learning, problem solving and critical thinking skills. With awareness of social responsibility, he/she takes part in research, projects and activities in cooperation with the healthcare team and other disciplines. Participates in activities that contribute to professional development. With his professional identity, he becomes a role model to his colleagues and an example to the society. It respects the universality of fundamental values and social rights.
