Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: The aim of this course; To provide students with sufficient knowledge and skills to provide appropriate nursing care to geriatric patients.
Course Objective: Knows and discusses the basic concepts of the elderly and aging and the health indicators of the elderly in our country.
Knows the principles of geriatric nursing.
Uses geriatric nursing principles in care.
Knows the drug management principles, the importance and effects of drug administration in elderly individuals, and monitors the changes.
Identify basic geriatric syndromes and their effects on the elderly.
Knows how to improve health in elderly individuals.
Knows early diagnosis and screening in elderly individuals.
