Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: During the projects, interior architecture; Form, scale, ratio, light, color, texture, material, detail, furniture, furnishing issues and conceptual, physical and psychological aspects will be mainly discussed. It is expected that design approaches can be created consistently and purposefully by understanding the importance of research and data-based analysis methods. The main goal of the course; The aim is to equip students with the features and equipment to develop and apply scenarios suitable for design problems and basic and structural applications of design. This course is also a workshop where the professional knowledge gained in theoretical disciplines is synthesized for practice and environmental, spatial, functional, structural and aesthetic decisions are evaluated within an architectural integrity. Learning through research and doing, gaining the ability to convey ideas verbally, visually and through design language, and active participation in studio work are essential throughout the course.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge (Described as Theoritical and/or Factual Knowledge.)
  1) It is aimed for students to gain the theoretical equipment to develop and apply scenarios suitable for design problems and basic and structural applications of design.
Skills (Describe as Cognitive and/or Practical Skills.)
  1) In the studies to be carried out during this studio process, it is aimed for the student to acquire skills to develop scenarios based on user profile imaginations, propose design solutions and discuss interior quality from different dimensions, taking into account the structural, functional, technical, environmental basic elements of interior architecture, social life and individual needs.
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) In addition to the practical synthesis of professional knowledge gained in theoretical disciplines, it is aimed to evaluate environmental, spatial, functional, structural and aesthetic decisions in an architectural integrity, and to do all of this by developing the skills of working independently and taking initiative.
