Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: This course will comprehend the basics of medical terminology used in health sciences and will facilitate the understanding of theoretical courses and practical applications in professional studies.
To gain knowledge of occupational terminology.
Course Objective: To analyze the structure of a medical term terminologically. To learn the meanings and structures of terms that are frequently needed in the explanations of different organ systems of basic medical sciences and different branches of clinical medicine. To have a good command of the terms specific to the profession.

  1) Learn how to use medical terminology language
  2) Learns terms related to respiratory system and endocrine system.
  3) Learns terms related to radiology-nuclear medicine-pharmacology-public health
  4) Learns terms related to sense organs (Eye, Ear, Nose-Throat)
  5) Learns terms related to the gastrointestinal system
  6) Learn the terms related to the nervous system and musculoskeletal system.
  7) Learns terms related to the genito-urinary system

  1) Defines the basic grammatical features of the words in medical terminology.
  2) Knows the basic definitions and terms related to human structure
  3) Pronounces medical terms correctly
  4) Explains and exemplifies the abbreviations of medical terms.
  5) Defines frequently used terms related to diseases
