Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: 1- To introduce major theoretical perspectives in international political economy (IPE)
2- To discuss major structures of IPE
3- To analyze major issues in IPE such as development, international debt, financial crises and regional integration
Course Objective: 1- To be able to distinguish between the major theoretical perspectives in IPE such as liberalism, mercantilism and historical structuralism
2- To comprehend major concepts associated with the structures of IPE such as production, trade, finance and knowledge and technology,
3- To be able to analyze contemporary events in IPE using these concepts
4- To be able to apply IPE concepts to issues such as regional integration, financial crises and development
