Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To analyze modern human migrations
To discuss major theoretical perspectives on migration
To investigate major migration movements in the modern world
To focus on Turkey's international migration experience

 To overview the history of modern migrations
 To describe how migration flows have changed in the past 40 years
 To define refugees
 To discuss Turkey’s experience with migration in recent decades
