Skills (Describe as Cognitive and/or Practical Skills.)
9) It has the knowledge to register and accept all histopathological and cytopathological samples coming to the Pathology Laboratory.
10) It prepares fixatives of all tissue and cytological samples and ensures their fixation.
11) The performs the macroscopic sampling and identification of histopathological specimens at a basic level, with an expert pathologist.
12) It processor various tissue samples in a manual and/or automatic processor system.
13) According to the anatomical features of the tissues coming out of the tissue processor; embedded in paraffin with correct coding and orientation.
14) It uses a microtome within the framework of safety rules, takes sections from the paraffin block with the desired properties and thickness.
15) Prepares all dyes and auxiliary solutions used in the routine Hematoxylin-Eosin staining system, applies manual staining to all histopathological sections, checks staining under the microscope, detects the source of errors and solves the problem.
16) It provides a safe working environment in the intraoperative process, prepares preparations from biopsy samples and makes them ready for examination under the microscope.
17) Makes the appropriate choice between conventional histochemical staining methods to show various macromolecules of tissues.
18) Prepares the dye solutions to be used in conventional histochemistry methods and applies the methods, checks the staining under the microscope, determines the source of the error and solves the problem.
19) Immunohistochemistry applies FISH, SISH, CISH methods manually. Solves and records the problems that may occur as a result of the application, together with an independent or expert pathologist.
20) It provides fixation of conventional pap smear and liquid-based cervical cytology specimens. Starts and applies the painting process.
21) Makes macroscopic definitions of non-gynecological cytological samples, prepares preparations and performs fixation. Prepares and prepares the cell block. Starts and applies the painting process.
22) It isolates DNA from paraffin embedded tissue and other biological materials.
23) It performs the amplification of the optimized gene region by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) reaction method and shows the amplification result by the gel electrophoresis method. Problems that may arise as a result of the application, independently or together with experts, solve the problem and record it.
