Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: The psychotherapeutic interview techniques course is a course that enables the student to learn general interview techniques with clients, to learn and make sense of the psychiatric symptoms, cognitive disorders and other symptoms that may be seen in the clients, to understand and evaluate the clients, and to use them to help them solve their problems.
Course Objective: It is aimed to take the necessary steps in order to reach the competence to evaluate the diagnosis and treatment by using appropriate assessment tools, and to learn and develop appropriate and necessary psychotherapeutic skills.

  1) 1-Has the basic conceptual knowledge of the field in such a way as to comprehend the relationship between them in terms of theory and practice. 2-Comprehends the interdisciplinary interaction with which the field is related. 3-Comprehends the basic concepts in Social and Behavioral Sciences and has a command of the relations between concepts. 4-Has basic information about the rules of operation of people and inter-communal relations. 5-Has basic information about the causes and consequences of the transformations of their societies. 6-Has the ability to conduct research required by Social and Behavioral Sciences, to have the knowledge of how to plan research and to apply it. 7-Has the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to obtain information by processing advanced data required by Social and Behavioral Sciences.

  1) 1-Has the ability to analyze the theoretical information about the field and evaluate its reflections in practice. 2-Has a command of the theories in the field of social and behavioral sciences and has the knowledge to prepare reports in working life and to prepare works in accordance with academic rules. 3-Has the ability to use the knowledge of the field in decision making, implementation and behavior. 4-Has the ability to convey the information obtained in the field to the relevant people with theoretical and practical principles. 5- Interprets and creates new information by integrating the knowledge gained in the field with the knowledge from different disciplines. 6-Makes oral and written original presentations at national and/or international meetings in his field. 7-Identifies the problems encountered in the field and develops or analyzes solutions using research methods.

  1) 1- Evaluates the information obtained about the field by filtering cause-effect and criticism. 2-Identifies the knowledge and application deficiencies in the field. 3- It is at a level that can keep the interest and desire in the field alive. 4- Evaluates the basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field with a contributing, questioning and productive approach, determines and meets the learning needs. 5-Orients his/her education in a way that will contribute to an advanced education level in the same field or a profession at the same level. 6-Has a lifelong learning and questioning awareness. 7-Transfers the knowledge and skills acquired in his/her field, both verbally and in writing. 8-Share the solution proposals related to the field with the competent ones by supporting them with scientific data. 9-Has the principles of clinical psychologist profession and ethical responsibility awareness.
