Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: The aim is to examine the impact of nutrition on health, focusing on macro nutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats) and micro nutrients (vitamins and minerals), to assess their requirements and effects on metabolism across different age groups.

This assessment involves identifying the nutritional needs of different age groups to understand the essential nutrients required for maintaining a healthy life and examining their effects on metabolic processes.
Course Objective: Understanding the Relationship Between Nutrition and Health
Comprehending the overall effects of nutrition on general health.
Identifying the essential nutrients necessary for a healthy life.
Evaluating Macro Nutrients (Examining the functions and requirements of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats in the body.)

Investigating the Effects of Nutrition and Food Choices on Metabolism

  1) Understanding the Relationship Between Nutrition and Health: Students will comprehend the relationship between nutrition and overall health. Evaluating Macro Nutrients: Students will examine the functions and requirements of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats in the body. Evaluating Micro Nutrients: Students will learn about the functions and requirements of vitamins and minerals. Investigating Metabolic Effects: Students will investigate the effects of nutrition and food choices on metabolism. Identifying Nutritional Deficiencies: Students will identify health problems that may be caused by inadequate or imbalanced nutrition. Gaining Knowledge of Individualized Nutrition Plans: Students will gain knowledge about individualized nutrition plans based on specific needs and conditions. These learning outcomes aim to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in nutrition science and its applications.
