Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: It covers basic information about web design, arranging visual materials in web design programs, web page design, interface design techniques, preparing and adding visuals in pixel-based programs for the web, web colors and web typography usage methods. It aims to convey the dynamics of web design to students through theoretical knowledge and applied projects.
Course Objective: Web design is a course supported by design information and technical applications in web design programs. For this purpose, it is aimed to provide students with graphic design knowledge and technical application knowledge for the web environment.
Mode of Delivery: Face to face

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge (Described as Theoritical and/or Factual Knowledge.)
  1) Will be able to understand the design rules and technical information about web and graphic design and be able to make appropriate designs.
  2) Will be able to develop typography, color harmony and page designs and solutions suitable for digital publications.
Skills (Describe as Cognitive and/or Practical Skills.)
  1) Will be able to prepare, add and create animated images in a pixel-based program for the web.
  2) The website created in a pixel-based program will be able to transfer the interface design to web programs and apply it exactly the same.
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) Taking into account the expectations and needs of the users for the website, we will be able to create dynamic web designs by ensuring easy perceptibility and design integrity for the usage content of the website.
