Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: Makes the correct diagnosis and treatment planning in patients who need removable partial prosthesis, knows the clinical construction stages
Masters the treatment stages using metal supported and full ceramic systems in fixed prostheses.
Course Objective: To be able to successfully complete the clinical production stages of fixed prosthetic restorations and removable partial dentures.
To be able to overcome the problems they may encounter during the treatment stages.
Mode of Delivery: Face to face

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge (Described as Theoritical and/or Factual Knowledge.)
  1) Knows the features of the area where the prosthesis sits in the mouth of the patient with partial tooth deficiency and the functions of the surrounding muscles that affect the prosthesis. Knows and applies the clinical construction stages of HB prostheses (such as taking measurements, vertical dimension, centric relationship, gear fitting).
  2) Knows the definition, classification, history, indications, contraindications and construction techniques of fixed prostheses.
  3) Master different types of preparations and current materials in fixed prostheses.
Skills (Describe as Cognitive and/or Practical Skills.)
  1) Able to communicate accurately and completely with the dental technician laboratory.
  2) Defines partial edentulism, knows the anatomy of surrounding tissues. Explains the concepts related to full and partial removable dentures. Applies laboratory construction techniques of full and removable partial dentures. He has special competence in the field of prosthesis.

  1) She/he solves the problems she may encounter in the clinic, according to the knowledge she has learned and her skills about the laboratory construction stages of removable partial dentures and fixed prostheses.
