Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To know how to perform painless dental and surgical treatments to patients. To know where and when to use local anesthesia, sedation and general anesthesia techniques.
To have basic information about oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Course Objective: To know pain transmission pathways and mechanism. To understand local anesthetics and their pharmacology. To know the instruments used in anesthesia and local anesthesia techniques. To know sedation and general anesthesia techniques. To know the local and systemic complications of local anesthetics.
To know the rules of asepsis and antisepsis in surgery, to know the instruments used, to prepare the patient for surgery, to explain the basic principles of oral and maxillofacial surgery, to be familiar with the medications to be prescribed to the patients.

  4) Knows the evaluation and examination methods of the surgical patient.
  5) Knows the instruments used in oral, dental and maxillofacial surgery, knows how and where to use them.
  6) Knows the rules of asepsis and antisepsis that must be followed in oral surgery.

  9) Defines the systemic diseases frequently encountered in dentistry.
