Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To comprehend the importance of dentistry in medical sciences, to develop a treatment plan for patients with systemic diseases by adopting a multidisciplinary approach to diseases, to contribute to the diagnosis, treatment and referral to specialists.
Course Objective: To be able to analyze the diagnosis and treatment methods of ear, nose and throat diseases, neurological examination, neurological symptoms, clinical-laboratory findings of basic hematological diseases.

  1) Analyzes symptoms and findings in ear, nose and throat diseases,
  2) Analyzes the clinical-laboratory findings of basic hematological diseases.
  3) Lists dental approaches in patients with neurological, otolaryngological and hematological diseases.
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) Uses the knowledge of Neurological, Otolaryngological, Hematological diseases in the professional practice
  2) Makes treatment planning by taking into account the general health status of patients, takes responsibility individually or as a team member.
  3) Takes necessary precautions by predicting possible complications of dental treatment.
  4) Performs special dental approach to the patients with Cerebrovascular Diseases.
