Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To Protect dentists and their staff from the risks of cross-infection; To create a safe clinical environment for all healthcare professionals and patients.
Course Objective: To prevent infectious diseases that may develop in relation to the treatment of pediatric patients in dentistry, to determine the problems, to provide infection control.
Mode of Delivery: Face to face

  1) Takes the necessary precautions by knowing the sources of microorganisms that may affect all health workers and patients working in dentistry, the host susceptible to infection and the transmission routes from source to host.

  1) Provides infection control in dentistry, knows and applies the protocols.

Program Outcomes

8) Provides health education for children, families and the society by using the advanced theoretical and applied knowledge gained in the field of health.
9) Performs all dentistry practices related to ensuring oral and dental health in infants, children, adolescents and patients with special care needs, alone and as a part of the team.
10) Diagnoses and treats oral findings related to systemic diseases, syndromes, congenital and developmental anomalies in pediatric patients and takes part in the relevant team.
11) Knows and applies basic and advanced behavior management techniques in pediatric patients.
12) Knows the ethical rules and legal responsibilities required by the profession.
13) Prepares and presents written and oral presentations in national and international fields.
14) Conducts, completes and prepares the research project in accordance with scientific ethical principles.
