Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To provide an instructive basis for drugs used by pediatric patients, to comprehend the basic principles that should be considered in the use of drugs in pediatric patients.
Course Objective: To recognize the adverse reactions and drug interactions of drugs commonly used in pediatric dentistry, to interpret the clinical pharmacology of preparations used in dental practice, to evaluate drug-drug interactions and to examine the effect of drug interactions on patient management.

  1) To know the effects of drugs used by patients in dentistry in clinical practice, to have information about adverse interactions, to have information about the content of dental clinical preparations

  1) To recognize the adverse reactions and drug interactions of drugs used in dentistry, to interpret the clinical pharmacology of dental preparations, assessing important drug-drug interactions
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) Knows the ingredients, adverse effects, drug-drug interactions of drugs used in Pediatric Dentistry and performs dental infection control in pediatric patients, takes precautions against emergency drug allergies.

10) Diagnoses and treats oral findings related to systemic diseases, syndromes, congenital and developmental anomalies in pediatric patients and takes part in the relevant team.
11) Knows and applies basic and advanced behavior management techniques in pediatric patients.
12) Knows the ethical rules and legal responsibilities required by the profession. 3
13) Prepares and presents written and oral presentations in national and international fields.
14) Conducts, completes and prepares the research project in accordance with scientific ethical principles.
