Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To use current approaches and techniques in the clinical management of dental caries in the light of the developments in restorative materials, to comprehend the prevention, monitoring, evaluation and advanced restorative-prosthetic application strategies of dental caries in pediatric patients.
Course Objective: To be able to make a restorative - prosthetic treatment plan and applications suitable for age and developmental level of pediatric patients according to the diagnosis of caries, clinical and radiological evaluation.

  1) Explains individual caries risk analysis.
  2) Analyzes the patient's treatment needs.
  3) Explains advanced restorative-prosthetic techniques.

  1) Evaluates and diagnoses the dental carries clinically and radiologically. Makes and applies the dental treatment plan in pediatric patients.
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) Diagnoses and evaluates dental caries problems in pediatric patients. Manages the dental treatment process by using basic and advanced behavioral guidance techniques in the clinical approach to the patient.
  2) Plans and applies individual prophylaxis program in pediatric patients.
