Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Dersin Amacı:	To make the right treatment planning for the patient in case of missing teeth in the mouth, Performing radiological and clinical evaluation, To know the changes that may occur both locally and systemically in the mouth and body with aging. To make an accurate diagnosis, clinical evaluation, and appropriate treatment plan for edentulous patients.
Dersin Hedefi:	To be able to apply the stages of removable prosthesis in the clinic for edentulous patients. To know the complaints of patients using full dentures after prosthesis application and how to correct them. To be able to successfully complete the clinical construction stages of fixed prosthetic restorations. To be able to overcome the problems they may encounter during the treatment stages.

1) Knows the definition, classification, history, indications, contraindications and construction techniques of fixed prostheses.

Beceriler (Bilişsel ve/veya uygulama becerileri olarak tanımlanmıştır.)

1) Knows the features of the area where the prosthesis sits in the mouth of a completely edentulous patient and the functions of the surrounding muscles affecting the prosthesis. Knows and applies the production stages of complete dentures in the clinic (such as determining vertical dimension, centric relationship and try-in).

2) Explains different types of preparations in fixed prostheses and comprehends current materials.

3) Makes treatment plans for teeth with excessive substance loss and applies appropriate restoration types.

1) Able to communicate accurately and completely with the dental technician laboratory.

2) Knows the complaints of patients using complete dentures after prosthesis application and how to correct them. She/he performs the treatment, relining and rebasing processes of compelete dentures whose harmony with the tissue is impaired. Uses tools and materials used in the construction of removable prostheses.
