Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To comprehend EEG recording, provocation methods, filter and sensitivity selections and calibration
Course Objective: To know the cornerstones of electroneurophysiology such as electroencephalography and to relate them to other examinations

Program Outcomes
1) Has general knowledge on nerve, neuromuscular junction and muscle diseases.
2) Has knowledge of electromyography, evoked potential uses, intraoperative monitoring and methods in sleep units related to neurophysiological examinations.
3) Knows the physiological, physical and chemical interactions and mechanisms in the diagnosis and treatment process and adjusts the parameters of the devices used for the patient under the supervision of the physician. Knows the necessary medical and technical terminology for the effective use of devices used during electroneurophysiology applications.
4) Applies advanced testing of electroneurophysiology
5) Selects and uses modern techniques, tools and information for professional environment for applications effectively.
6) Knows and meets learning needs by evaluating basic knowledge and skills with a critical approach.
7) Knows the anatomy and the risks associated with the devices for the effective use of neurophysiological devices used in the field of diagnosis and treatment, and accordingly, takes responsibility as a team member to solve the unpredictable and complex problems encountered during the application.
8) Uses information and communication technologies together with computer software at minimum European Computer License Basic Level required by the field.
9) Evaluates the basic level of knowledge and skills acquired in the field with a critical approach, determines and meets the learning needs.
10) Conveys his thoughts through written and verbal communication at the level of basic knowledge and skills on the subjects related to his field.
11) Have social, scientific, cultural and ethical values in the stages of collecting data related to the field and announcing the results.
12) He uses his thoughts, written and verbal communication correctly and effectively at the level of basic knowledge and skills he has in patient-technician/technician-physician communication during electroneurophysiology practices.
13) Have sufficient awareness of the universality of social rights, social justice, quality and cultural values, environmental protection, occupational health and safety.
