Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: It includes the practices of all courses offered in the department, especially the main branch courses. The purpose of the Clinical Biochemistry course; The aim is to enable students to apply clinical biochemistry tests, carry out quality control practices, obtain appropriate samples for tests, understand how physiological processes and preanalytical factors affect the tests, learn the relationship of tests with body systems and how they are affected by diseases. The purpose of the Microbiology II course; This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to identify bacteria, perform antibiotic susceptibility testing, and perform mycobacteriological and mycological analyses. The purpose of the Immunological Methods course; The student will learn basic immunological concepts in the laboratory and be able to perform basic tests. The purpose of the laboratory equipment and safety course; It is to provide knowledge and skills regarding the use, maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment and to transfer the necessary information to take personal precautions while working in the laboratory, to identify risks that may occur against physical, chemical and biological factors, to take precautions against these risks and to create a safe laboratory environment.
Course Objective: The department ensures that students apply their education in a medical laboratory environment in line with all courses.
Mode of Delivery: Face to face
