Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: Swallowing anatomy, structures and functioning, neuroanatomy and physiology of normal swallowing; classification of swallowing disorders; To have information about neurogenic, mechanical, structural swallowing disorders and their causes.
Course Objective: To provide information about the anatomy and physiology of swallowing to speech and language therapists. Explain how swallowing occurs. To explain neurogenic, mechanical, structural swallowing disorders and their causes.
