Course Objectives: |
The course includes reviewing the phonetic features of IPA and vowel and consonant speech sounds, normal and typical phonological development and prerequisite skills to be acquired for normal phonological development, Natural Phonological Theory and phonological processes from theories including phonological acquisition, Distinctive features theory and distinctive features, It aims to teach the analysis of speech samples obtained from individuals with phonological operations and distinctive features analysis, and the extraction of phonetic and phonemic inventory, phonological processing and phonological awareness and sub-skills, which are one of the phonological processing skills, speech sound disorders, classification of speech sound disorders. |
Course Objective: |
At the end of the course, students should know the aims and application area of clinical phonology; It is aimed to analyze speech data obtained from individuals phonologically and to extract phonetic and phonemic inventories of individuals from these data, and to distinguish speech sound disorders by examining the phonological developmental stages of individuals with normal development. |
