Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: Dealing with asylum seekers and refugees, who are among disadvantaged groups that social work primarily works with, within the framework of legal regulations and determining the approach of the social work profession to the subject.
Course Objective: Understand the Social Work response, which enhances refugees' ability to be self-sufficient, to solve pressing problems they face, and to build a sense of security at the same time.

  1) Gains knowledge about the basic concepts in the field of migration. 2. Knows the roles of the Social Worker in the field of migration. 3. Knows the legislation related to national and international migration, refugees and asylum seekers. 4. Knows the problems that asylum seekers and refugees can experience.

  1) Develop a coherent perspective in the context of the relations between migration and social services. 2. To be able to explain social services for immigrants, refugees or asylum seekers, and develop suggestions in this direction.
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) Performs Social Work intervention for refugees and asylum seekers.
