Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: Gaining information about concepts related to gender, feminist theories, gender roles, being able to comprehend the consequences of gender inequality
Course Objective: To be able to see the consequences of gender inequality and produce solutions in order to use it effectively in the social work intervention process.

  1) Has knowledge of the basic concepts and theories of gender and the historical development process.
  2) Has knowledge about social structure and gender relations.
  3) Has knowledge of the unequal positions of men and women in society.
  4) Has knowledge of the patriarchal system and its functioning process.
  5) Has knowledge about the relationships between gender and social policies.
  6) Has knowledge of feminist theories.
  7) Analyzes and synthesizes social events related to gender.

  1) Evaluates events by thinking critically on issues related to gender.
