Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: Gaining information about concepts related to gender, feminist theories, gender roles, being able to comprehend the consequences of gender inequality
Course Objective: To be able to see the consequences of gender inequality and produce solutions in order to use it effectively in the social work intervention process.

  1) 1) Have knowledge of the basic concepts and theories of gender and the historical development process. 2) Have knowledge about social structure and gender relations. 3) Has the knowledge of the unequal positions of men and women in society. 4) Has knowledge of the patriarchal system and its working process. 5) Have knowledge about the relations between gender and social policies. 6) Has knowledge about feminist theories.

  1) 1) Analyze and synthesize social events related to gender. 2) Evaluates the events by thinking critically on the issues related to gender.

  1) 1) Executes and discusses the social events that create gender inequality. 2) Discusses the social struggles of feminist movements against gender inequality.
