Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To be able to define stress, to develop stress management skills, to provide a theoretical basis on the place and importance of stress in human life, sources of stress in business life and ways to cope with stress, and also to include discussions and new researches on exemplary practices in which students will actively participate.
Course Objective: To be able to notice the symptoms of stress, to create conscious awareness about stress management and to apply methods of coping with stress.
Mode of Delivery: Face to face

  1) Students can perceive the problem of stress in businesses.
  2) Understand and discuss the problem of stress.
  3) Identify methods of coping with stress
  4) Develops coping strategies.

  1) Can explain the stress reactions and coping behaviors of herself and the people around her.
  2) Plans/ implements effective coping behaviors that can replace ineffective coping behaviors.
  3) Replaces ineffective coping behaviors with effective ones.
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) To be able to critically evaluate the advanced knowledge and skills acquired in the field.
  2) To be able to evaluate the effectiveness of coping behaviors of herself and those around her.
  3) Being able to reflect on communication and problem solving processes by gaining sensitivity and awareness about individual development.
