PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM:

The program aims to train qualified specialists who can work in different health and education institutions in order to improve public health services in our country. In addition, it also includes preparatory studies before the doctoral program to train public health academics. The aim of the master's program with thesis is; ability to conduct scientific research In addition, it is to gain the ability to access information, evaluate, interpret, criticize and propose solutions.

DEGREE AWARDED:

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Yüksek Lisans .

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:

The student who has a master's degree with thesis; GPA must be at least 2.50 in order to graduate. Students are obliged to take repeat or new courses until they meet the average requirement.

PROGRAM QUALIFICATION:

Bilgi (Described as Theoritical and/or Factual Knowledge.)
1) Information (defined as theoretical and/or factual information) 1-Have knowledge about the concepts and models related to public health nursing. 2. Will be able to discuss the legislation and policies regarding the practice areas of public health nursing. 3. will be able to define contemporary roles. 4. Is aware of new and emerging practices in public health nursing and examines and names them with a critical approach. 5- Comprehend the interdisciplinary interaction related to public health nursing's areas of interest, and integrate their knowledge with information from different disciplines, interpret and create new knowledge. 4- Knows the sources of scientific knowledge. 5. Produces, interprets and discusses knowledge with scientific methods.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND RULES PRESENTED IN THE PROGRAM:

The master's program with thesis consists of at least 60 ECTS; 24 credits of at least 8 courses and It consists of a non-credit seminar course and a thesis with at least 60 ECTS, a total of 120 ECTS. A student can enroll in a maximum of 15 credits per semester. Credit and evaluation are carried out according to the principles determined by the Senate. Courses in which the student is successful in undergraduate education are not counted towards the course load and credit in the graduate education type. The maximum duration to complete the master's program with thesis is six semesters. The maximum period to complete the course credit load in the master's program with thesis is four semesters. The student who cannot complete the credit load of the courses within four semesters is dismissed from the University. Student; Students can graduate in three semesters, provided that they complete the course credit load in the first two semesters and then spend at least one semester on thesis study. Students who fail to fulfill the necessary conditions within the maximum period are dismissed from the University.

EXAMS, MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION:

Exams are evaluated out of 100 full marks. Year-end success grade; It is the grade obtained as a result of the addition of 40% of the yearly grade point average and 60% of the end-of-year exam grade. The measurement and evaluation methods applied for each course are determined by the relevant faculty members and are included in the "course content information".
