PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM:

The clinical psychology master's program aims to train experts who are equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge and skills, and who have social and ethical responsibility. The main purpose of the Clinical Psychology master's program is to help students achieve successful career goals on a national and international axis. Students who will graduate from this program are trained as well-qualified experts in terms of professional ethics, psychotherapy and clinical interview techniques, test applications and interpretations, and methodology.

DEGREE AWARDED:

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Yüksek Lisans .

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate program application criteria are determined by the University Senate each academic year with the recommendation of the relevant institute department and the approval of the relevant institute board. Application, admission, registration and application evaluation of foreign candidates to graduate programs and candidates from the Republic of Turkey residing abroad are carried out according to the principles determined by the Senate.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:

Students who are accepted to the Clinical Psychology master's program with thesis can complete their master's education and graduate, consisting of at least 60 ECTS in at least two and at most four semesters; It consists of at least 8 courses of 24 credits and a non-credit seminar course, as well as a thesis of at least 60 ECTS, a total of 120 ECTS. In addition, students must be successful in their master's theses in the third and fourth semesters. In order to pass the thesis period in master's programs with thesis, the student must have an average of at least 2.50 out of 4. The minimum time to complete the program is 4 semesters and the maximum time is 6 semesters.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING:

(1) Students who have completed at least one semester successfuly, excluding scientific preparation, in a graduate program of an institute department/institute of art or another higher education institution can apply to graduate programs through horizontal transfer.

(2) Those who want to transfer from one of the institutes affiliated to another university from a program similar to an institute of the university and whose equivalence has been approved by the relevant board, in order to be accepted to the institute, they have to have completed at least one semester of graduate education in the institute where the student first entered, have been successful in all of the courses they have taken, and have fulfilled the student admission requirements for the graduate programs they wish to transfer to. Those who continue to the master's program without thesis can apply to the master's program with thesis, provided that they fulfill the minimum requirements for the master's program with thesis, if they are included in the quota determined in the application, they are entitled to enroll in the thesis master's program. In this case, the courses taken in the non-thesis master's program can be substituted for the courses in the thesis master's program with the decision of the institute board of directors.

(3) The same conditions are sought for lateral transfers between the institutes and departments of the university and between the thesis and non-thesis master's programs.

(4) Which of the courses taken by these students will be counted towards the relevant graduate program is determined by the recommendation of the relevant department head and the decision of the institute board of directors. The evaluations on the equivalence of the courses that these students have taken and succeeded in the programs are made by a committee appointed by the head of the relevant department.

2) Comprehends the interdisciplinary interaction with which the field is related.
3) Knows how to reach the most up-to-date information in the field of clinical psychology, can scan the literature.
4) To adopt ethical principles in the studies carried out in the field of clinical psychology.
5) Comprehends the basic concepts in Social and Behavioral Sciences, has relations between concepts.

6) To be able to analyze and interpret the acquired knowledge about clinical psychology.
7) Can connect different disciplines with the knowledge gained in the field of clinical psychology.

8) To be able to offer solutions to any problem encountered in the field of clinical psychology, individually or in a team.

11) Follows new therapy methods emerging in the field of clinical psychology and questions the knowledge gained.
12) Follows international publications in the field of clinical psychology.
13) Transfers the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of clinical psychology, both orally and in writing.
14) It transforms knowledge and practices related to the field into projects and activities within the framework of social responsibility approach.
15) Acts in accordance with ethical principles in clinical psychology practices.
16) To complete the supervision process in the field of clinical psychology and to be aware of the ethical responsibilities in practice.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND RULES PRESENTED IN THE PROGRAM:

The master's program with thesis consists of at least 60 ECTS; It consists of at least 8 courses of 24 credits and a non-credit seminar course, as well as a thesis of at least 60 ECTS, a total of 120 ECTS. A student can enroll in a maximum of 15 credits per semester. Credit and evaluation are carried out according to the principles determined by the Senate.
The maximum duration to complete the master's program with thesis is six semesters. The maximum period to complete the course credit load in the master's program with thesis is four semesters. EXAMS, MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION:

The final grade of the students is evaluated by the instructor with one of the following letter grades for each course they take. Regarding graduate programs
