PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM:

The rapid increase in the number of private hospitals and health institutions all over the country is to increase the need for qualified operating room technicians of these institutions at the same rate. Our program is to train operating room technicians who prepare all surgical materials used in the operating room and ensure their use during surgery, are directly involved in all operating teams, can provide all kinds of assistance to the surgeon during the operation, and also have practical and theoretical equipment in other fields of health sciences in a multidisciplinary manner.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

Student admission to the faculty is made according to the results of the exams organized by OSYM and the principles determined by YÖK. More information
"Istanbul Kent University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations" can be used. The principles determined by the Senate are applied for the admission of foreign students to the program.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:

In order for students to graduate, they must have successfully completed a total of 120 ECTS credits in four semesters and have achieved a general academic average of at least 2.00 according to the 4-point system.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING:

Recognition of previous formal education in Turkish Higher Education Institutions, vertical, horizontal and intra-institutional transitions takes place within the scope of "The Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer determined by the Higher Education Institution ”. An exemption exam is held at the beginning of each academic year for the English course, which is included in the education plan of Istanbul Kent University, Vocational School of Health Services, Operating Room Services Program. Students who pass the exam are considered exempt from the relevant course.

PROGRAM QUALIFICATION:

Bilgi (Described as Theoritical and/or Factual Knowledge.)
1) Prepares the operating table and instruments before surgery
2) Assists the surgical team during surgery.
3) He / she ensures the sterilization (decontamination) of the instruments used after the surgery and their preservation.
4) He / she ensures the maintenance, cleaning, preservation and supply of all devices and instruments in the operating room.
5) He / she ensures the preservation of operating room sterilization.

6) He / She chooses modern techniques, tools and information technologies and uses them effectively in the professional environment for applications.
7) Knows and meets learning needs by evaluating basic knowledge and skills with a critical approach.

20) He / She has sufficient awareness of the universality of social rights, social justice, quality and cultural values, environmental protection, occupational health and safety.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND RULES PRESENTED IN THE PROGRAM:

All of the work that a student must do in order to successfully complete a course (theoretical course, practice, seminar, individual study,
exams, assignments, etc.) are expressed in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
▪ ECTS is a student-centered credit system based on the student's workload. The student is obliged to take at least 30 ECTS courses each semester.
▪ When the student graduates, the success status is determined by the ACADEMIC AVERAGE.
▪ Success in a course; It is determined by evaluating the midterm exam grade and the average of the final or make-up exam.
In order for the student to graduate, he/she must have succeeded in all the courses with a minimum of 120 ECTS credits in the curriculum, and his/her GPA must be at least 60 out of 100.

EXAMS, MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION:

Sınavlar 100 tam not üzerinden değerlendirilir. Yıl sonu başarı notu:yıl içi not ortalamasının % 40'ı ile, yıl sonu sınav notunun % 60'ının toplanması sonucunda elde edilen nottur.
▪ Sınav yönetmeliği ile ölçme ve değerlendirme süreçlerine ilişkin genel bilgiler için “İstanbul Kent Üniversitesi Önlisans ve Lisans EğitimÖğretim ve Sınav Yönetmeliği” baş vurulabilinir.
