PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM:

Clinical diagnosis and an effective support treatment competent to employ radiological imaging methods in the field, technological developments closely following, to adapt to developments and to train medical imaging technicians as a profession professional learning constantly to realize the future requirements.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

In order to be admitted to the Medical Imaging Techniques program, a high school diploma and a centrally held national university placement exam must have been placed or must have met the necessary conditions in accordance with the regulations of the Council of Higher Education regarding international student admission.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING:

Transfer applications of courses, internships, etc., which have been successfully taken from any higher education institution before, are evaluated and decided by the Istanbul Kent University Vocational School of Health Services Board of Directors. In order for the requested course, internship, etc. to be transferred, the credits of the previous course taken and the Istanbul Kent University Vocational School of Health Services cours credits to be transferred are equal or higher; It is required to be successful in the course and to fulfill the attendance requirement.

PROGRAM QUALIFICATION:

1) Gains the basic knowledges of the human body and its functioning necessary for the practice of the profession.
2) In the preparation and application of devices such as X-ray, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance, Mammography, Ultrasonography and Has knowledge about the methods used in various units of the Nuclear Medicine department.
3) Knows the physiological, physical and chemical interactions and mechanisms in the diagnosis and treatment process.

4) Learns to use devices used for medical imaging for diagnosis and treatment under physician control.
5) Applies the methods related to Medical Imaging Techniques.
6) Prepares the environment that will enable individuals receiving diagnosis and treatment services to receive services in a way that respects their personal rights.
7) Knows and meets learning needs by critically evaluating basic knowledge and skills.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND RULES PRESENTED IN THE PROGRAM:

Students who successfully complete this program will have the title of Medical Imaging Technician.

All of the work (theoretical course, practice, seminar, individual study, exams, homework, etc.) that a student must do in order to successfully complete a course is expressed in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).

▪ ECTS is a student-centered credit system based on the student's workload. The student is obliged to take at least 30 ECTS courses each semester.
▪ When the student graduates, the success status is determined by the ACADEMIC AVERAGE.

EXAMS, MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION:

Exams are evaluated out of 100 full marks. Year-end success grade; It is the grade obtained as a result of the addition of 40% of the yearly grade point average and 60% of the end-of-year exam grade.
