PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM:

The Child Development Program aims to train qualified intermediate staff in the field of child development, which prepares and implements multi-faceted supportive programs for the development of children aged 0-18 with typical development, special needs or various disadvantages, as well as empowering families in the education of children.
With the services they provide to children and families, the graduates of the program contribute to the construction of a society consisting of healthy, happy individuals with critical thinking, moral and cultural values ​​and self-actualization.

DEGREE AWARDED:

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Önlisans of .

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

General high school graduates who enter the TYT exam conducted by ÖSYM and get a sufficient "TYT" score can be placed in the Child Development program according to their preferences, from the fields other than the fields determined for the transition without examination, or from the fields determined for the transition without examination of the Vocational and Technical Secondary Education Institutions.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING:

Recognition of previous formal (formal) learning in higher education institutions in Turkey, vertical, horizontal transfers and transfers within the university The principles of "transition between associate degree and undergraduate programs in higher education institutions, double major, minor and inter-institutional credit transfer" determined by the Council of Higher Education. PROGRAM QUALIFICATION:

1) Students have basic theoretical and applied knowledge in the field of Child Development.
2) Has the knowledge of comparatively evaluating and interpreting the accuracy, reliability and validity of the information gained about child development.
Beceriler (Describe as Cognitive and/or Practical Skills.)
3) Prepares and implements developmental support programs for typically developing children with special needs.
4) They use, prepare and maintain the tools, materials, documents in the working environment.
5) Using basic knowledge and skills in the field of child development, interprets and evaluates data on children's development, defines problems and produces solutions.
Yetkinlikler (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
6) They fulfill their duties and responsibilities related to their profession in accordance with ethical values.
7) They fulfill the individual responsibilities assigned to them within the team by using the basic knowledge they have acquired in the field of child development.
8) Students internalize, generalize and exhibit the advanced theoretical and applied knowledge gained in the field of child development.
9) They follow the developments in the field of child development and renew their knowledge.
10) Students identify their learning needs with the awareness of lifelong learning, and engage in learning activities by using the relevant communication and information technologies and written resources to reach information.
11) Sets an example for the society with his appearance, manners, attitudes and behaviors.
12) Uses Turkish correctly and beautifully, exhibits effective communication skills.
13) Students inform the relevant people and institutions based on the basic knowledge and skills they have acquired in the field of child development, and convey their solution proposals to the problems verbally and in writing.
14) Students take part in professional projects, research and activities for the social environment in which they live with a sense of social responsibility.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND RULES PRESENTED IN THE PROGRAM:

All of the work required by the student to successfully complete a course (theoretical course, practice, seminar, individual study,
exams, assignments, etc.) are expressed in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
▪ ECTS is a student-centered credit system based on the student's workload. The student is obliged to take at least 30 ECTS courses each semester.
▪ When the student graduates, the success status is determined by the ACADEMIC AVERAGE.
▪ Success in a course; It is determined by evaluating the midterm exam grade and the average of the final or make-up exam. student's graduate
In order to be eligible, he/she must have passed all the courses in the curriculum with a minimum of 120 ECTS credits, and his/her GPA must be 100.

EXAMS, MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION:

Exams are evaluated out of 100 full marks. Year-end success grade; 40% of the year-end grade point average and 60% of the end-of-year exam grade
It is the score obtained as a result of the collection.
