PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM:

Social Work Undergraduate Prgoram aims to train talented people to work in public and private social work.

DEGREE AWARDED:

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Lisans of .

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

Within the framework of the regulations determined by the Higher Education Institution (YÖK), student admission to this program is carried out with the system made by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYS). After the students declare their preferences for the program they want to study, they are placed in the relevant programs by this center according to the scores they get from this exam.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:

İlgili programdan mezun olacak öğrenci aşağıdaki şartları yerine getirmek durumundadır:
In order for the student to graduate from an associate degree or undergraduate program, it is obligatory to pass all the courses in the curriculum within the relevant period and have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING:

Change of department, lateral transfer, admission of foreign students and exemption from previous courses are made within the framework of the relevant legislation.

PROGRAM QUALIFICATION:

1) Has knowledge of the basic concepts and theories of Social Work and its historical development process.
2) Has knowledge of social problems and social work practice areas.
3) Has knowledge about human rights and freedoms.
4) Has knowledge of legislation, professional ethics, principles and values.
5) Has knowledge of management and management processes related to the field of social work in human service organizations and public institutions.

6) Has the ability to write, report and record activities regarding social work practices, social review, evaluation, planning, summarization, etc.
7) Has the ability to analyze, synthesize and think critically.
Yetkinlikler (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
8) In social work practices, he/she carries out his/her intervention independently by using her knowledge.
9) Takes responsibility individually and as a team member in social work practices.
10) Identifies and fulfills the learning requirements in the field.
11) Follows the changes and developments in the field and communicates with colleagues with the knowledge of a foreign language that can be used in the international environment.
12) Has professional observation and professional interview skills in social work practices.
13) Informs individuals, families, groups, communities and institutions in social work practices.
14) Communicates effectively with client systems and uses communication tools in the process of social work practices.
15) In social work practices, he/she organizes and implements projects and activities by considering social responsibility awareness.
16) Has the ability to understand and apply the value basis of social work, ethical principles and standards.
17) In social work practices, he/she decides and acts with a social justice and rights-based approach in accordance with the relevant legislation, professional ethics, norms and standards.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND RULES PRESENTED IN THE PROGRAM:

All of the work (theoretical course, practice, seminar, individual study, exams, homework, etc.) that a student must do in order to successfully complete a course is expressed by the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
ECTS is a student-centered credit system based on the student's workload. The student is obliged to take at least 30 ECTS courses each semester.
When the student graduates, the success status is determined by the ACADEMIC GRADE AVERAGE.
Success in a course is determined by evaluating the midterm exam grade and the average of the final or make-up exam. In order for the student to graduate, he/she must have succeeded in all the courses with a minimum of 120 ECTS credits in the curriculum, and his/her GPA must be at least 60 out of 100.

EXAMS, MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION:

Exams are evaluated out of 100 full marks. Year-end success grade is calculated by 40% of the midterm grades and 60% of the final or make-up exam grade.
