Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: The Advanced Psychopathology course will provide a comprehensive introduction to understanding the diagnostic criteria, clinical assessment and intervention processes of psychological disorders. These diagnoses will be discussed in the course from a biopsychosocial perspective. Diagnostic systems, differential diagnoses and multidisciplinary treatments will be explained.
Course Objective: The goal of the Advanced Psychopathology course is primarily for students to master the diagnostic systems. It is aimed that they can discuss the reasons for the change in diagnosis systems and have knowledge about effective treatment methods for diagnoses.

  1) Can make case formulation within the framework of a specific psychotherapy approach and apply intervention techniques based on this.
  2) Evaluates personality structures and psychological disorders with clinical interviews and writes a report containing a psychological evaluation formulation.
