Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To explain the practices in the business environment within the framework of different psychological and social processes and theories and approaches that affect behavior in the business environment,
To explain the basic concepts in the field of Work Psychology, to recognize the basic functions and approaches, to gain knowledge and skills in today's contemporary field of work psychology by emphasizing its historical development and current practices,
To provide an understanding of the psychological and social processes that affect human behavior in working life, business and industrial environments.
Course Objective: To learn the basic concepts of work psychology and its relation with other scientific fields,
To learn the basic function and historical development,
To know the theory and approaches, basic functions,
To be able to evaluate current approaches and practices in the field of work psychology within the framework of Occupational Health and Safety,
To be able to offer solutions to different problems that may be encountered at the individual, group and organizational level in business environments,

  1) Uses the theoretical and applied knowledge gained in the field of Work Psychology. Gains a holistic perspective in working life with the knowledge gained in the field. Analyzes the effects of work psychology on Occupational Health and Safety in working life.

  1) Carries out a basic level study in his/her field independently.
  2) Has a command of the literature in the field.

Program Outcomes
1) 1-Students have extensive and in-depth knowledge to make advanced applications on Occupational Health and Safety. 2-Students are aware of new and developing applications of his profession and examines and names them with a critical approach when necessary. 3-Comprehend the interdisciplinary interaction with which Occupational Health and Safety issues are related, and can interpret the acquired knowledge by integrating it with the knowledge from different disciplines, and create new knowledge. 4-Complete and apply knowledge with scientific methods using limited or incomplete data. 5-Develops methods to solve Occupational Health and Safety problems and applies these innovative methods. 3 3 2 2 2
