Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the fundamental concepts, methods, and analytical techniques used in firm valuation. Students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to determine the intrinsic value of a business by applying approaches such as financial statement analysis, discounted cash flow (DCF), multiples, and market value analyses.
Course Objective: By the end of this course, students are expected to be able to:

Define the basic concepts of firm valuation,

Compare different valuation methods (DCF, multiples, asset-based, etc.),

Interpret financial statements and use them in the valuation process,

Analyze the relationship between cost of capital, risk, and return,

Conduct a practical valuation study on a real company.
