Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To teach the basic principles of nutrition, which is an important part of sports performance, nutritional practices and ergogenic supplements to improve performance, body composition, nutritional characteristics of athletes with special conditions.
Course Objective: Exercise, nutrition and health interaction, energy and macronutrients of athletes, micronutrients of athletes, nutritional characteristics of athletes before, during and after training / competition, importance of fluid consumption, ergogenic aid, body composition and weight control, nutritional characteristics of exercise in different conditions
Mode of Delivery: Face to face

  1) Learns energy and macronutrient requirements of athletes.
  2) Learns the micronutrient requirements of athletes. Learns the characteristics of nutrition in special cases (women, children, vegetarian athletes.

  1) Understands the characteristics of nutrition before, during and after training / competition.
  2) Defines ergogenic aid, makes comparisons.

  1) Understands the importance of fluid consumption and makes recommendations.
  2) Understands and interprets body composition specific to athletes and controls weight.
