Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: Analyzing Turkish governing system and its practices from a historical perspective.
Course Objective: Enabling students to learn about Turkish history and how ancient Turkish states were established in order to understand main features of Turkish governing system.

  1) Has theoretical knowledge in the fields of politics, administration, political history, economics and law. To be able to compare them and express them in written form. To be able to follow national and international developments in the field of Political Science and Public Administration and to know the basic problems.
  2) To be able to analyze, compare, compare, define and propose different solutions to the data, facts and problems encountered by using the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of Political Science and Public Administration. To be able to use qualitative and quantitative social science research methods.
  3) Gains the sensitivity of being a responsible individual towards society, social environment and self.
  4) To be able to work individually on issues in the field of Political Science and Public Administration.
  5) Uses research techniques, analytical thinking skills and knowledge related to the field.
  6) Can look objectively and critically at concepts, theories and global issues.
  7) Develop strategies and policies in case-based studies.
  8) To have the ability to make interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary interpretation and analysis and to establish a relationship between different social sciences.
  9) Expresses the results of analysis and research findings in various formats, especially in articles, reports and presentations.
  10) Ready to adapt easily to professional, academic and civil society.
  11) Have sufficient awareness of the universality of social rights, social justice, quality culture and protection of cultural values, environmental protection, occupational health and safety.
