Course Objectives: |
The first year summer practice is composed of three stages and these three stages are evaluated together for success. The first stage includes a recent design and/or manufacturing software/hardware technology training which introduces CAD-CAM technologies in order for the students to acquire skills and practice in construction and design. The second stage is that students will participate in a workshop or a summer school of their own choice, or in a social responsibility project related to their field in a non-governmental organization to gain knowledge and experience by making it. This stage should cover at least 10 workdays. Students can attend more than one workshop; however, each workshop must be at least 5 workdays. A logbook will submitted as a record of the practice. At the end of these two stages, the student submit a report / a certificate from the relevant institutions showing that he/she has successfully completed the training in accordance with the format determined by the internship commission. An archaeological excavation or an excursion, which will approved by the Department, covering at least 5 workdays, constitutes the third stage. In this stage, the student is expected to make observation, determination and research trips. Finally, if he has participated in an archaeological excavation, a report/ a document of his participation in the excavation and a logbook; if he has made an excursion, he is asked to hand over a logbook. |
