Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To evaluate and use the knowledge, values ​​and skills required in the profession and discipline of social work competently. To use especially the theories in the knowledge base in generalist social work practice processes.

Course Objective: The aim of this course is to learn the theories and approaches used in social work interventions and to raise awareness about their use in social work practice.

  1) To have the knowledge of the basic concepts and theories of social work and the historical development process.
  2) To have the knowledge of social problems and social work practice areas.
  3) To have the knowledge about human rights and freedoms.
  4) To have the knowledge of legislation, professional ethics, principles and values.
  5) To have the knowledge of management and management processes related to the field of social work in human service organizations and public institutions.
  6) Act with the awareness of the effect of the social and cultural environment on human behavior in its practices in the fields of social work.

  1) In social work practices, social review, evaluation, planning, summarization, etc. have the ability to write, report and record activities.
  2) Have the ability to analyze, synthesize and think critically.
  3) Implements social policies in social services practices

  1) In social work practices, carry out the social work intervention independently by using the knowledge.
