Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: It is aimed to teach the definitions of poverty, the trends in poverty, the culture of poverty, poverty as a social problem, the determinants of poverty at micro mezzo and macro levels, and the role and functions of social work in preventing poverty.
Course Objective: Examining the economic, political, cultural, and socio-psychological dimensions of poverty to explain the determinants of poverty at micro-mezzo-macro levels and the role and functions of social work in poverty prevention.
