Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: Identifying the role and responsibilities of physiotherapists in our country and in the world.
Recognition of tools, devices and methods used in physiotherapy.
To have general knowledge about the protective role of physiotherapy rehabilitation.
Course Objective: History and standards of 'Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation' in the world and in Turkey.
Disorder, disability, disability definition, the purpose of Medical Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation team and understanding their duties.
Mode of Delivery: Face to face

Knowledge (Described as Theoritical and/or Factual Knowledge.)
  1) Learns the definitions and terms of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.
  2) At the end of the 14 lesssons students will be able to learn the essentials of evaluations used in PT&R.
  3) Learns the standards of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and its place in medicine.
  4) Learns the protective role of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

  1) Knows the tools and equipment related to Physiotherapy Rehabilitation and their simple usage areas.

Program Outcomes

2) Evaluates the physiotherapy and rehabilitation process of the patients and plans them according to the needs of the patients.
3) Evaluates the clinical development of individuals in multiple ways by using different measurement and evaluation methods.
4) Develops knowledge, skills and attitudes on subjects such as human anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, and associates them with physiotherapy.
5) He/she has the ability to work independently and effectively in his/her professional practices.
