Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To provide information about current studies on child development from infancy to the end of adolescence in recent years, to interpret these studies and to evaluate them with an analytical point of view.
Course Objective: To be able to provide information about current studies in the field of child development from infancy to the end of adolescence, to interpret these studies in terms of developmental areas, to evaluate the researches with an analytical perspective, to provide ideas for new researches.

  1) Evaluates and interprets the accuracy, reliability and validity of the information gained about child development comparatively.
  2) Interprets evidence-based data in the field of child development by using advanced knowledge and skills covering physical, cognitive, language, social-emotional and sensory development areas.
  3) Internalizes advanced theoretical and applied knowledge in the field of child development
Skills (Describe as Cognitive and/or Practical Skills.)
  1) With the awareness of social responsibility, it monitors professional projects, research and activities for the social environment in which it lives and plans new researches.
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) Uses necessary education and training tools and resources to reach basic and updated theoretical and practical information in the field of child development.
  2) He/she evaluates the knowledge he/she has with a critical approach, determines his/her own learning needs and directs his/her learning.
