Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To provide basic information in the field of special education, to get to know children with special needs and their families in various aspects.
Course Objective: Recognizing the characteristics of children with different developmental needs and understanding the factors that cause special education needs and appropriate teaching approaches
Mode of Delivery: Face to face

  1) Knows the legal, philosophical and historical development of special education.
  2) Explain the features of disability diagnoses.

  1) Distinguish between the factors causing the obstacle.

  1) Discusses the organizational structure of special education in Turkey.
  2) Explain the principles and methods of special education.
