Purpose and content of the course

Course Objectives: To understand the importance, roles and responsibilities of the midwifery profession. To know and apply the basic concepts and theories about the midwifery profession.
Course Objective: To know the historical development, roles and responsibilities of the midwifery profession. To know the basic concepts, ethical codes, the current situation of the midwifery profession in the world. To manage the midwifery process in the light of theories.

  1) 1. Knows the concepts of Human, Environment, Health and Disease. 2. Knows ethical principles and ethical codes in midwifery. 3. Knows the situation of the midwifery profession in the world. 4. Knows the definition, role and functions of the midwifery profession and the philosophy of midwifery. 5. Knows midwifery models and theories.

  1) 1. Plans the maintenance process. 2. Takes history, detects existing problems. 3. Diagnoses midwifery and applies care with appropriate interventions. 4. Provides appropriate care to the patient in line with the midwifery process

  1) It gives appropriate care to the patient by adhering to ethical values.
